"Watching children grow and learn new things is so rewarding."
“Watching children grow and learn new things is so rewarding. I love seeing the joy on a child's face when they accomplish something they have worked hard on. I have always known I wanted to be a teacher and I am so glad that God gave me the opportunity to do what I love.
“Holy Family provides endless opportunities for staff and students to openly talk about their faith. This is one of the main reasons I love teaching in a Catholic school. I can teach students to act as Disciples of Jesus. The Holy Family community is filled with incredible people. Everyone is always there for one another and is willing to lend a helping hand. The staff at St. Columbkille has continued to make a positive impact on my teaching and personal life.
“I enjoy watching students grow in their education and as human beings. The advice I give my students is that everything takes time. Mistakes are opportunities from which to learn and grow. They are only at the beginning of their journey and they have so many opportunities to succeed.”

Mentoring is the most important part of each day."
"The mentoring program serves as an opportunity for a teacher and their mentees to share in the constant social, emotional, academic, and spiritual growth that occurs during the school year.
"Mentoring is, in my opinion, the most important part of each day because it allows for the mentor and their mentees to share in the successes and opportunities for growth each and every day.
"Since mentoring has been instituted at Wahlert, I have seen students become more confident, accountable, driven and resilient as they navigate each day with the support of their fellow mentees and mentor."

“I am so thankful for the solid AP and dual enrollment options at Wahlert Catholic High School."
“I am so thankful for the solid AP and dual enrollment options at Wahlert Catholic High School. If one assumes the average cost of tuition/room/board/fees/books at college is $30,000 per year, we have more than broken even when looking at Wahlert tuition paid over four years versus the amount of college credit our son is graduating from Wahlert with. He came into college with 41 credits from AP and college classes. 10 of them are from AP Spanish alone. All of freshman year and half of sophomore year are complete before setting foot on campus thanks to these offerings. And this doesn’t even take into consideration the scholarships earned from being academically well prepared at Wahlert. We are thankful!”

"Wahlert has greatly impacted my faith."
"Wahlert has greatly impacted my faith. There are so many opportunities to become involved.
"Coming back from Kairos my junior year, I learned a lot about my faith, and I grew as a person. Kairos is a great way to get to know yourself and deepen your connection with God. It’s the favorite thing I’ve ever done in high school by far. I felt this inkling and longing to become more involved in my faith since then because it fulfilled such a big part of me.
"Now, I go to Bible Study every Thursday. It’s a really great community of people. You learn about your classmates in a more vulnerable setting. My internship with Mrs. Carlson in campus ministry has also allowed me to become more involved in my faith with what campus ministry does. I help with Mass each week, and I’m a Kairos senior leader this year."
