Business Manager | Early Childhood

Are you a dynamic, organized accounting professional with a passion for early childhood education?

Holy Family Early Childhood is seeking a Business Manager to take the reins of our daily administrative operations and play a pivotal role in our vibrant community! If you have a flair for financial management, a knack for human resources, and a passion for early childhood education, we want to hear from you!

As our business manager, you will be at the heart of our organization by overseeing the financial management and human resources operations of our five early childhood centers. Your role will involve ensuring effective resource allocation, maintaining precise financial records, and overseeing recruitment and employee relations to support the success of our program.  This is a 12-month, full-time position.

The qualified candidate will have a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience); a minimum of three years experience in office management, preferably within an educational or early childhood setting; proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; a strong understanding of HR functions including payroll and employment law; exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills that shine in a fast-paced environment; a commitment to handling confidential and sensitive information with the utmost professionalism.

Financial Management:

  • Collaborate with the Early Childhood Program Director to prepare the annual budget and financial projections.
  • Track spending against the budget, monitor variances, and report on financial performance to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on cost-saving measures and efficient resource utilization to enhance our operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts monthly to uphold the integrity of our financial data.
  • Process invoices, track receivables, and ensure timely payments for families and vendors. 
  • Prepare financial records and documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring our practices are transparent and accountable.

Human Resources Management:

  • Prepare and process payroll, track employee hours, and ensure adherence to federal and state laws for a seamless payroll experience.
  • Assist with recruitment process, post job listings, conduct initial screenings, and coordinate onboarding for new employees.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, address employee inquiries, and liaise with benefits providers to ensure staff are well-informed and supported.
  • Assist with tracking employment law updates and implementing necessary policy changes to stay compliant and foster a supportive workplace.

Early Childhood Associates

Starting Wage: $15.00 | Possible additional pay based on education and experience

Training Bonus: Earn up to $1,000 in your first 90 days with the completion of training hours!

Full-time employees receive a 20% discount on childcare and a 40% discount on before and after school care program for K-5!

An ideal position for anyone 18+ who loves to work with children – Early Childhood Associates help to plan, prepare and implement daily activities, games, learning centers, and lessons for our littlest Golden Eagles.

Early Childhood Assistant positions are also available to individuals ages 16-18 with a starting wage of $13.00 per hour. This is a great after-school position for those interested in exploring a career in early childhood!
