Our Mission:

Forming disciples of Jesus Christ through Catholic educational excellence.

Here at Holy Family, we’re dedicated to providing our students with a premier education that will prepare them for a lifetime of success. We are an early childhood through 12th grade educational system, so in addition to a rigorous education, your child will grow in a community equally focused on the development of spiritual and moral values.

How do we deliver the best education possible?

We Are Innovative

Today’s classroom is evolving faster than ever. We’ve found that by making technology a key player in our curriculum, we can deliver a more individualized learning experience and also facilitate creativity and problem solving for a 21st-century world. Lessons come alive on tablets for students as early as preschool; then in the elementary years, daily lessons integrate laptops, tablets, e-readers and interactive whiteboards. In middle and high school, students are provided their own laptop for use at school and at home.

We Are Progressive

The marketplace in which our students will one day work is becoming increasingly progressive, so our educational programs must do the same. Our students are developing college-level skills in engineering through programs such as FIRST Lego League, FIRST Tech Challenge and Project Lead the Way. Students interested in science, medicine or forensics can get their start in our Biomedical Sciences program. With the unique option of a Spanish immersion school, students can also prepare for a future in a global marketplace.

We Are Challenging

Whatever a student’s abilities, we never want to put a limit on his or her learning, so you’ll find that we regularly investigate ways to offer new challenges. Through regular assessment, we can monitor how each student is progressing. Through online extension programs, we can offer supplemental lessons that raise the bar for each child based on his or her individual knowledge and skill set. Our growing curriculum, designation as a top advanced placement school in Iowa, and opportunities for courses offering both high school and college credit, are all testaments to our dedication to challenging your child.

We Are Effective

So we talk a lot about being innovative, progressive and challenging, but let’s get to the point: Does it really impact your child’s future? Our students consistently score above state and national standards on annual assessments. According to the ACT, our high school students are significantly better prepared for college than their state or national peers. We graduate 100 percent of our students, and, on average, 98 percent pursue a college education—at some of the finest institutions in the state and nation. Whatever it is our students want to do, we’re there to make sure they succeed.
